FPSF Hosts Annual Community Blood Drive to Help Save Lives

The Miller-Keystone blood mobile was parked outside the Phillipsburg office all day Tuesday, March 10.  Nineteen members of the FPSF staff from the Phillipsburg and Bethlehem, PA offices signed up to give blood throughout the day. Many were first-time donors. They were joined by family members and others from the community who wished to take part in helping save lives.

Donors were asked to complete a questionnaire which was followed by a screening before blood was drawn. Those who were unable to donate blood gave monetary donations through the Miller-Keystone Blood Center website.

Approximately 43,000 units of blood are used each day in the United States and approximately 4.8 million American would die each year without life saving blood transfusions, according to Miller-Keystone’s website.

Those interested in contributing to the Miller-Keystone Blood Center can do so by clicking here.
