Michael Cozzillio concentrates his practice in labor and employment law, complex contracts and disputes, administrative law, and sports law, having previously represented such clients as the Philadelphia Eagles, basketball coaches Fran Fraschilla and Bob Valvano, and numerous corporate clients including, Clairol Corp., Wylain, Inc., Texas Instruments, Hills Bros. Coffee, RSR Corporation, and Knoll International. Michael has co-authored a leading law school casebook on Sports Law and a treatise on Sports and Inequality.
Prior to joining the firm, Michael was a partner at an international law firm in Washington, DC.
Michael is a renowned Professor of Law who has taught at the Widener University School of Law, Columbus School of Law at the Catholic University of America, and Notre Dame Law School. His articles, essays and reviews on contracts and sports law have been published in prestigious law reviews and legal publications. He has served as an expert commentator for the Washington Post, Baltimore Sun, Washington Times, USA Today, Harrisburg Patriot News, and Lebanon Daily News, among others. Michael has also appeared on local television and radio programs to discuss legal issues related to the labor, employment and sports industries. Most recently, he lectured at the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY on minorities in baseball. His commentaries, writings, opinions and appearances have received national attention.
