UTCA Magazine, the official publication of the Utility and Transportation Contractor Association of New Jersey, recently published the following article by Firm Partner Paul T. Fader, the association's legal counsel.
The article entitled "Documenting Damage Claims for the Suspension of Work or Termination of a Contract" advises contractors and subcontractors who work on public jobs how to preserve their rights and interests following Executive Order 210 which was issued by Governor Chris Christie on June 30, 2016.
Executive Order 210 requires the Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Transportation and the Executive Director of New Jersey Transit to issue plans for the shutdown of non-essential Transportation Trust Fund Authority projects.
